Canadians Proved Themselves

Charles Sylvestre is a Canadian from Quebec; he was among first Canadian citizen to mark his presence in the summer event. He was doing well in the event as he was inspired by a domino effect. Before this summer event, he cashed from two events of the WSOP, both in the year 2010.

Charles earned $491,360 from the event along with first WSOP gold bracelet. The Canadians were able to gain attention in media by the time of third series. In the 21 WSOP events total number of Canadian players was 1,231; and about 5.3 percent from the total number of participants; Canadian earned six bracelets including Charles. Apart from it, Canadians definitely highlighted their presence in the event.

Moreover there were nearly about ten bracelet winners from Canada, and merely around two-dozen of players came close to the final table. Among all players, two of the most impressive players were Mike Leah and Greg “FBT” Mueller.

Mueller started putting his best playing skills in the events of mixed-game and made final table three times which includes his winning at 3rd position in the $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, he finished the table as runner up in the same event exactly last year. He occupied 3rd place in the $5,000 H.O.R.S.E. and 8th place in the $5,000 Limit Hold’Em. Mueller earned total amount of cash prize of $243,994 from the final tables three times, this amount he cashed from the summer event. Mueller is the only Canadian who appeared final table three times in the year 2013.

Leah was exactly behind the Mueller, he made final table twice. Leah was having successful summer event this time; his winning includes 3rd position in the $5,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better and occupied 5th position in the $1,500 buy-in of the very same game. His total winning cash prize is of $156,819 from several summer tournaments.
