Dan Sindelar First Victory
The card player tour Wynn Las Vegas was not spared by the overwhelming figures and turnout was participants. In fact this year’s event surpassed everybody’s speculations.
The event attracted a total of seven hundred and ninety three (793) participants generating pool prize of $384, 605. The $550 buy- in-no –limit hold ‘em event surpassed its $250,000 guarantee prize pool by more than $130,000. The massive turnout in most major even have come as a surprise to most poker fans around the world relating it the acceptance by people of the games as a career and no longer as a hobby and the support of the legal framework.
After the three days of the event only 105 participants out of the initial 738 had survived elimination to battle it out for the first place winner top prize of $73,074. And on the final day of the games, some of the players that made it included Eric Balding Christina Lindsey, Phil Collins amongst a few others. Amongst the recognizable pros that made it to the final table included the 2012 world series of poker bracelet winner Brent Hanks, Matt Berkley and Jimmy Tran.
At the end of the event Daniel Sindelar and Steve Hilltz made a deal heads up that saw Hiltz take home $61, 141. Daniel was awarded with a beautiful trophy and a sum of money amounting to $60, 000 and an addition of 45t6 card player of the year points.
